How are the trim pieces installed? Do I have to
remove my existing dashboard? Do I have to buy special glue?
Each wood trim piece is precision cut from a pattern taken of the dash area.
Each piece has 3M foam adhesive tape completely covering the back side.
After the dash area is prepped properly, the piece is pressed on top. There
is no need to remove the existing dash.How hard
is it to install the trim, can I do it myself or do I need a professional?
Although we recommend that you have the wood trim installed by a
professional, you can install it yourself if you take your time and follow
the instructions completely. You basically clean the dash areas first, apply
the supplied primer and press the pieces in place.
I notice extra pieces in a diagram for trim that
is not in my vehicle. Do I need them?
Many times we offer "master" dash kits that include pieces for vehicles
spanning several model years or vehicles that are upgraded in some way, such
as optional overhead console or center console for bucket seat versions. You
would use the pieces that apply to your vehicle. Many times there are
vehicle models with options for fog lamps or airbag indicators, so extra
pieces are included to accommodate those options.
Do you make trim kits for cars with the right
wheel?
Yes, of course, any of our dash trim kits can be made for the right wheel
car.
